At IBA, we are driven by one mission: to fight cancer through advanced proton therapy. As a global leader in proton therapy solutions, we design and deliver innovative technologies that help treating patients with greater precision while reducing side effects. In partnership with the Spanish Ministry of Health, and with the support and funding of the Amancio Ortega Foundation, we are contributing to the expansion of proton therapy in Spain, helping make proton cancer treatment more accessible to patients.

We are now looking for talented candidates to join us in an exciting journey in Valencia. This opportunity is more than a job : it is a chance to contribute directly to a technology that changes lives.

We are seeking passionate, technically minded profiles who are motivated by challenges and meaningful impact. Our ambition is to build a strong, cohesive team that will carry out at least two consecutive installations in Spain: a first one in Valencia, followed by a second project at another Spanish site. Our HR team will support you in your relocation to your second location.

Each installation project will last approximately 15 months, structured as follows:

• 3 months of comprehensive training to fully immerse you in IBA values, our technology and our system
• Followed by the installation phase of the equipment, where you will actively contribute to deploying proton therapy systems on site

Challenges we trust you with

As Electro-Mechanical Service Engineer, you are responsible for :

• Participating in the installation of the IBA equipment on the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on the electro-mechanical equipment (Gantry, Power Supply Cabinets, Electrical wiring, X-Ray equipment, etc.)
• Testing, calibrating and validating the equipment according to the specifications and ensuring the customerrequirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance and timing
• Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical problems
• Collaborating intensively during installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise theinstallation until the start-up of equipment
• Troubleshooting the equipment including solving electrical and echanical issues
• Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services

What we value

You have:

• A Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or an equivalent experience
• A sound experience in electronics/electrical system troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair
• Technical knowledge of cooling systems, vacuum systems, PLC’s regulation loops, drivers, sensors, electricmotors, positioning equipment, high and low voltage equipment
• The ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish is an asset.
• Knwoledge of local EHS regulations

• Able to follow procedures and you able to deliver on strict deadlines
• Analytical, with good troubleshooting skills, able to identify root cause of issues
• Willing to share your knowledge in your area of expertise
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel extensively during the training period
• A flexible person, willing to work in rotating shift work, night work and weekends (up to 50% of your time)
