Mission
As a Sourcing Associate, you will be responsible for:

Managing Indirect Purchasing for IBA USA and all U.S.-based IBA sites

Sourcing certain locally supplied parts for IBA USA, which may include commercial off-the-shelf items or components specified by drawings and/or technical specifications
Challenges we trust you with
In this role, you will:
- Perform sourcing marketing to identify potential suppliers.
- Prepare RFQ (Requests for Quotations) and send them to identify, or research new suppliers
- Negotiate with suppliers.
- Establish and manage contractual relations with suppliers.
- Ensure the quality of the purchased items in collaboration with the Business Unit and Suppliers Development Engineers team.
- Build and secure the milestone management plans and production capacities of the suppliers.
- Identify critical solutions, organize technical reviews and post-mortem analysis with suppliers.
- Identify and implement collaborative actions to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and deploy continuous improvement actions.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with system owners as well as the whole supply chain.
- Lead recurrent meetings with your dedicated Procurement Associate and Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) to follow issues, action plans, and improvements related to your purchased commodities.
- Define, get approval on and implement sourcing strategies for your commodities of products.
What we value
You have:
- 5+ years' experience in technical purchasing and/or indirect purchasing.
- Excellent negotiation, networking and persuasion skills.
- Experience in selecting, qualifying, and managing solution suppliers within a Quality Management System (QMS) framework.
- Knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM) is a must.
And you also are:
- Driven and result-oriented individual and you can organize your work autonomously.
- Flexible and stress-resistant with effective organizing and problem-solving skills.
- A team player with excellent oral and written communications skills
- Fluency in Chinese is desired, however not a requirement for the role.
Travel
Approximately 20%; mostly domestic with some occasional international travel.
Compensation and Benefits
The approximate annual base salary range for this position is provided below. Within this range, individual compensation is influenced by various factors such as location, job-specific skills, work experience, and relevant education or training. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses, profit sharing, commissions, and benefits.
Approximate Range
$92,400 – 125,200 USD
