EHS and Radiosafety Manager

Mission
As an Environmental Health and Radiation Safety specialist for IBA's North American region, you will assist in building and implementing the vision and direction of the Company’s Radiation Safety and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Programs for all North America region based employees, sites and entities. In addition to ensuring that the Radiation Safety Policies and Standards are consistently applied throughout IBA North America, you will help define and develop Key Performance Indicators allowing the business to proactively drive EHS performance.
Challenges we trust you with
- Identify and maintain EHS legal registers, with a focus on radiation safety.
- Support IBA’s Business Units in the necessary actions and activities to maintain EHS compliance.
- Conduct EHS inspections and risk assessments, with a focus on radiation safety.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to EHS programs, with a focus on radiation safety.
- Develop radiation safety training content and communication tools for increased awareness and practical approach.
- Lead the RSO community in your region to maximize collaboration with IBA’s stakeholders
- Review IBA manuals and procedures from a radiation safety perspective.
- Follow the EHS incident reporting – monthly dashboard of high-priority incidents and their monitoring.
- Contribute to the development and distribution of routine EHS KPIs.
- Encourage and widen the use of EHS SharePoint as a communication tool for best practices and information gathering.
- Identify potential risks to prevent or mitigate losses/radiological event as appropriate
What we value
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field related to radiation safety or an associate degree in safety, health, or the environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in radiation safety/EHS or related work experience
And you also are:
- Knoweldgeable in core EHS and radiation safety principles
- Experienced in industry best practices
- Good Knowledge of US federal/state legislation
- A team player
- Able to successfully communicate and establish work relationships within all levels of the organization
- Problem-solving oriented
- Able to negotiate and influence
- Able to promote Environmental Health and Safety awareness and compliance and create an environment of compliance
- Fluent in English
