The mission of the S2C2 Field Service Team is to maintain IBA’s Cyclotron equipment and systems used in Proton Therapy, an advanced form of Cancer treatment. This customer facing role is an exciting opportunity to become part of a global team of specialist technicians who work together with our engineers to help fight cancer.

An IBA Field Service Technician’s responsibilities will include:
• Planning and executing Preventive Maintenance missions to the highest standards in line with the maintenance schedule
• Execution of both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks ensuring the highest levels of safety
• Delivering detailed reports to colleagues and customers
• Repair and debug subsystem following documented procedures
• Test equipment/systems according to the specifications following documented procedures
• Supporting our Field Service Teams in North America and Asia when required
• Supporting Engineers during Corrective Maintenance and Emergency missions
• Supporting R&D developments both on site and at our assembly halls in Belgium
• Supporting Clinical Operations on our Proton Therapy sites
What we value
You have :
• Qualifications in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in the maintenance of mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems
• Good mastering of English, both in writing and speaking is required
Additional positives
• Experience with vacuum, cooling, or ionizing radiation
• A valid driving license
• You live within a reasonable distance from an international airport.
• A valid passport

• Able to autonomously organize your work and are eager to take initiatives
• A team player with very good communication skills
• Willing to travel up to 50% of your time primarily at weekends
• Willing to work on shifts (night shift is also possible)
