The mission of the team is to maintain IBA’s equipment and systems used in Proton Therapy, an advanced form of Cancer treatment. This customer facing role is an exciting opportunity to become part of a global team of specialist technicians who work together with our engineers to help fight cancer.

Challenges we trust you with

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance missions to the highest standards, following the established maintenance schedule.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Deliver detailed and accurate reports to colleagues and customers, ensuring effective communication.
• Repair and debug subsystems using documented procedures to restore optimal functionality.
• Test equipment and systems to meet specifications, adhering to standardized procedures.
• Support our Field Service Teams worldwide
• Assist engineers during corrective maintenance and emergency missions, contributing your expertise.
• Collaborate on R&D developments both on-site and at our assembly halls in Belgium.
• Provide support to clinical operations at our Proton Therapy sites, ensuring the highest levels of performance.

What we value

You have :

• Qualifications in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in the maintenance of mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems is an asset
• Good mastering of English, both in writing and speaking is required

And you are :

• Driven, proactive and a hands-on professional
• Able to autonomously organize your work and are eager to take initiatives
• A team player with very good communication skills
• Willing to travel up to 50% of your time primarily at weekends
• Willing to work on shifts (night shift is also possible)
