At IBA, we design and deliver proton therapy systems to treat cancer with unmatched precision. As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team working hands-on with advanced medical technologies. 

Based in Prague, you’ll support daily clinical operations at the Proton Therapy Center in Prague and also travel internationally to install, maintain, and improve our systems worldwide.

Your Responsibilities:

 

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

 

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on proton therapy systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components.
  • Take ownership of specific subsystems based on your technical expertise.
  • Upgrade systems in collaboration with the R&D team to enhance performance and stability.

 

Operational Support

  • Support clinical operations by preparing and setting up equipment daily.
  • Operate the system and assist medical staff during treatment sessions.
  • Respond quickly to incidents and provide hands-on solutions to ensure operational continuity.

 

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

 

  • Propose improvements to increase reliability and efficiency of systems.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and maintenance actions using appropriate IT tools.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with site-specific protocols.

 

Mobility & Collaboration

 

  • Spend approximately 50% of your time at the Prague Proton Therapy Center, and be open to travel internationally to other IBA sites.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external customers to deliver world-class technical service.

What we value

 

Your profile:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or Telecommunications.
  • Experience in maintenance, installation, or troubleshooting in an industrial or technical environment is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Solid analytical thinking and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • A broad interest in technology and hands-on technical work.
