IBA (Ion Beam Applications) is looking for a Site Technical Leader – Industrial to manage daily operations at our partner’s facility in Strasbourg.

Our partner uses our particle accelerator equipment for its own industrial processes, while we also use the same system to demonstrate capabilities to prospects and train new IBA colleagues.

As the Site Technical Leader, you will be IBA’s main on-site representative. You’ll oversee the daily technical operations, including maintenance, repair, and demonstrations. You’ll ensure the equipment is performing at its best to meet both our partner’s production needs and IBA’s demonstration and training goals.

Challenges we trust you with

• Ensure seamless operation of the equipment used by our partner, for customer demos, and for internal training.
• Lead routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues. If external help is needed, plan and coordinate their work.
• Be responsible for on-site inventory and spare parts management.
• Host visits from potential clients and assist in showcasing our technology.
• Train and support new IBA engineers on the system.
• Collaborate with IBA’s R&D and service teams to test upgrades and improve system performance.
• Travel occasionally (up to 15%) across Europe for training, installations and support to other customers.

What we value

• A technical or engineering degree.
• Experience in managing high-tech systems in an industrial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead repairs.
• Proficiency in English and French.
