Calibration Technician

Mission

 

The Calibration Technician will monitor and calibrate radiation quality assurance measurement systems which include but are not limited to ion chambers, sensors and control units, using gamma and x-ray equipment. They will also utilize written test procedures as available.

Challenges we trust you with

  • Manage incoming service and production work orders to insure smooth work flow.
  • Follow safe practices when operating x-ray machines and gamma sources.  Perform daily safety checks and compliance tests to insure proper operation of test equipment.
  • Use Excel spreadsheet templates to perform calibration reports for customers.

What we value

 

You have:

  • High School diploma or higher
  •  Solid experience with MS Office Suite (to include solid Excel experience)

Additional Competencies

  • Manual dexterity, requiring the use of both hands, to type on computer keyboard, and manipulate knobs and dials on various calibration test fixtures and meters. Consistent performance of these repetitive tasks is required during the full work shift.
  • Ability to lift with both hands 30 lbs. and possess physical mobility to transport units from one department to another and access small, confined rooms to perform calibrations.
  • Proficient with Windows operating system and Excel.
  • Familiar with performance of Radcal products, and a technical background sufficient to understand new products as they are developed and acquired. Basic math skills. High school level physics. Understanding of SI prefixes from femto to mega.

Compensation and Benefits

 

 

The approximate annual base salary range for this position is provided below. Within this range, individual compensation is influenced by various factors such as location, job-specific skills, work experience, and relevant education or training. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses, profit sharing, commissions, and benefits.

 

Approximate Range
$38,000 – 48,000 USD
