Technical Writer

Mission

While reporting to the Industrial Projects Engineering Manager, you will be integrated in the Industrial Projects Engineering team (10 people), within our Industrial Solutions Business Unit. You will generate and keep up-to-date projects oriented technical documentation, such as installation procedures, tests procedures and others, for IBA Industrial projects.
 

Challenges we trust you with

As Technical writer :

•  You create and update technical documentation such as installation procedures, tests procedures, risks analysis,... and other specific documents based on projects needs.

•  You are responsible of the related projects technical documentation creation and continuous updates, to match with required projects timelines.

•  You lead and coordinate workshops with technical experts to gather content for the technical documentation that needs to be created/updated.

•  You improve continuously the quality of the technical documentation database, to help in overall to make projects installations to go smoother with better documentation.

What we value

You have:

•  A Master’s degree in engineering/sciences in electricity/electronics or electro-mechanics
• Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
• Fluent in English and in French
• Excellent writing skills in English (all documentation is done in English)
• Strong editorial interest – attention to editorial details
• Great communication/interpersonal skills to facilitate day-to-day information exchange and foster trusting relationships with stakeholders as well as good collaboration
• Ability to not get lost in detail and to arrive efficiently to an appropriate level of content summarization
• Strong overall organization skills: able to plan efficiently and multi-task
• Knowledge of (Siemens) Polarion software is an asset
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures according to the audience
• Focus on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Continuous improvement mindset regarding the processes and technical writing-related matters
