Mission
As a Technical Writer, you will join the Knowledge Management team within Customer Service at IBA RadioPharma Solutions (RPS). You will play a role in creating, structuring, and maintaining high‑quality technical documentation for our cyclotrons and radiochemistry modules. This includes, among others, installation and maintenance work instructions, troubleshooting guides, standard operating procedures, and training materials for customers and internal teams.
In this position, you will act as a link between R&D engineering experts, Field Service Engineers (FSEs), project teams, and when relevant, customers on site. Your mission will be to transform complex, highly technical input into clear, precise, and well-structured documentation written in simplified technical English for both experienced and less-experienced engineers.
This role requires an eye for detail, strong editorial skills, and the ability to produce documentation that is accurate, consistent, and visually clean.
Key responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including (but not limited to): installation and maintenance work instructions, troubleshooting articles, training materials, and process documentation.
- Collect and align inputs from multiple sources: system engineers, field service engineers, project managers, design teams, manufacturing and testing teams, and existing documentation repositories.
- Analyze and reorganize content, review information architecture and propose improved structures to ensure optimal clarity, consistency, and usability.
- Translate complex engineering concepts into accessible, simplified technical English suitable for both native and non-native users.
- Ensure compliance with internal documentation standards and terminology guidelines.
- Promote good documentation practices in writing, structure, layout, and terminology.
Skills and Qualifications
You have
- At least a master’s degree in engineering or sciences (electro-mechanical, electronics, biomedical, physics, or equivalent).
- Two years of experience in technical or scientific writing (or a similar documentation-driven role) is an asset.
- The ability to understand technical systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc.).
- A strong curiosity and willingness to dive into complex systems.
- The ability to manage several documentation projects in parallel.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (experience with Confluence is an asset).
