The System Architects are part of the Research and Development group. Their core mission is to design and develop the world leading solution for image guided Proton Therapy using ionizing radiations.

Following a recent reorganization, IBA is strengthening the BEAM system functions team. The new setup is based on the product lifecycle.

To support this model, we are seeking a System Architect who will act as the owner of the BEAM system functions architecture model, bridging conceptual system definitions with detailed technical design and implementation through structural and functional decomposition and allocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the BEAM system functions architecture model.
  • Define, propose, and evolve system architecture in close collaboration with system experts, requirement engineers, system owners and development engineers.
  • Translate high-level concepts into structured solutions and ensure proper decomposition for engineering teams.
