System Support Office Lead
Louvain-la-Neuve, BE
Mission
You will lead the System Support Office to deliver measurable improvements to Systems Engineering methods, processes, data, and toolchain (e.g., Polarion, Enterprise Architect, Jira/Confluence, Figma). You will own the continuous improvement (CI) project portfolio, prioritise by ROI and business impact, and deliver projects on scope, time, and quality, while contributing hands-on.
People leadership may evolve: The role starts as an individual contributor Project Manager, coordinating across a community of tool/methods experts and developers, and may evolve to direct line management of a small team as the office grows.
Location: Louvain-la-Neuve (hybrid work model)
Challenges we trust you with
- Portfolio & Delivery: Define and maintain the portfolio of internal improvement projects; run intake, size benefits, prioritise by ROI/business impact, and manage delivery to benefits realisation at closure
- Hands-on Contribution (~30%): Personally contribute to selected initiatives (analysis, configuration, enablement materials, change management)
- Toolchain Lifecycle & Validation: Maintain and evolve the Systems toolchain (Polarion, EA, Jira/Confluence, Figma); plan releases, integrations, access, and backups; execute validation and documentation per IBA processes
- Methods & Process Improvement: Co-design pragmatic practices (requirements, architecture, verification, documentation, release prep) aligned with Systems’ mission
- Training & Enablement: Build, maintain, and deliver internal trainings with the Training department; measure adoption and effectiveness
- Data, KPIs & Dashboards: Define metrics (adoption, lead times, quality), publish dashboards, and drive corrective actions
- Technology Watch (incl. AI): Lead an active technology watch on the toolchain and AI use cases; propose safe, value-adding pilots
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Coordinate with Architecture, Requirements & Verification, Documentation, Product Integration, PSO, IT, and Procurement; manage licenses, budgets, and vendor roadmaps
- (May evolve) Line Management: As the office grows, take on direct line management of a small team of tools/methods experts and developers.
