Strategic Projects Lead & Business Developer

Mission

IBA Industrial is looking for a Strategic Projects Lead & Business Developer to take the lead on critical projects that drive growth and long-term value in our electron beam and X-ray technologies. 

In this role, you’ll lead key business initiatives, explore new market opportunities, and build strong partnerships with stakeholders across sectors. Job Highlights:

• Lead strategic projects to identify and execute new value-driving initiatives within the Industrial business unit.
• Drive key business development efforts, establish partnerships, and develop long-term growth strategies.
• Contribute to the strategic planning process  and work closely with the executive leadership team to align projects with company goals.

Challenges we trust you with

• Lead the identification and exploration of new applications for electron beam technology across industries (e.g., materials science, chemical remediation, energy, etc.).
• Drive the development of key business opportunities in emerging markets, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, potential clients, partners, and government agencies.
• Support the CTO in building ecosystems across regions, including partnerships with organizations such as Syensqo, Desotec, etc.
• Lead market research efforts, ensuring detailed analysis of emerging trends, market sizing, and competitive positioning.
• Work with R&D teams to ensure market insights are integrated into the product development process.
• Lead negotiations for joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and new business deals.
• Represent the company at conferences and industry forums, enhancing brand recognition.

What we value

• 5+ years in project management or business development, ideally within the technology, industrial, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
• Strong strategic planning skills with a proven ability to identify, structure, prioritize, and pitch impactful projects.
• Demonstrated experience in partnership development and negotiation, with the ability to engage across industries and institutions.
• Proactive and persuasive communicator, comfortable engaging with executive leadership and high-level stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives with visibility at the highest levels of the organization — this role serves as a key interface with IBA’s top management.
• Financial acumen to analyze P&L and ensure project profitability.
• Solid understanding of technical environments and the ability to assess complex technical challenges in alignment with business goals.
• Comfortable navigating across multiple sectors and initiating conversations with diverse stakeholders ("knocking on different doors").
• Background in commercial engineering with a strong technical affinity, or technical engineering background with proven business acumen.
• Passion for impactful topics such as environmental challenges and PFAS treatment — this role is directly linked to IBA’s long-term growth and prosperity.
• Curious, technically minded, and familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations.
