Sourcing Associate

Mission

 

As a Sourcing Associate, you will be in charge of the sourcing of Mechanical Commercial Parts (such as bolts, nuts, industrial pumps, valves, pneumatic components, tools, etc…) and Individual Protective Equipment, for our 3 Business Units located in Belgium.
You will report to the Direct Sourcing Manager.

Challenges we trust you with

 

•    Perform sourcing marketing to identify potential suppliers.
•    Prepare RFQ (Requests for Quotations) and send them to identify, or research new suppliers 
•    Prepare, challenge and negotiate with the suppliers.
•    Establish and manage contractual relations with suppliers. 
•    Ensure the quality of the purchased items in collaboration with the Business Unit and Suppliers Development Engineers team.
•    Build up and secure the milestone management plans and production capacities of the suppliers.
•    Identify critical solutions, organize technical reviews and post-mortem analysis with suppliers.
•    Identify and implement collaborative actions to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and deploy continuous improvement actions.
•    Coordinate purchasing activities with system owners as well as the whole supply chain.
•    Lead recurrent meetings with your dedicated Procurement Associate and Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) to follow issues, action plans, and improvements related to your purchased commodities.
•    Define, get approval on and implement sourcing strategies for your commodities of products.

•    Experience of selecting, qualifying and managing solutions suppliers based in a Quality Management System.
•    Knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM)
