Sourcing Associate

Mission

 

As a Sourcing Associate, you will play a key role in defining and implementing procurement strategies for mechanical components and assembly part in the development and manufacturing of IBA equipment.
You will act as a real coordinator to internal stakeholders (R&D, Engineering, Procurement Team and Project Managers), while ensuring supplier performance, cost optimization, and contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Define, get approval on and implement sourcing strategies for your categories of products/services
  • Collaborate with commercial leaders, R&D and project managers of each B.U. to identify their needs and requirements.
  • Prepare, challenge the suppliers, and negotiate to get the best technological offer in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery conditions
  • Define and implement frame-contracts and Service Level Agreements with selected suppliers and drive contract compliance
  • Ensure the quality and delivery performance of your suppliers in collaboration with the Supplier Development Engineer and Procurement officer
  • Build up and secure production capacities at suppliers' in accordance with IBA's business plan on strategic equipment
  • Identify and implement collaborative actions to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership
  • Lead process implementation, change management efforts and continuous improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • Be able to understand how products are manufactured to support sourcing decisions and negotiation

Skills and Qualifications

 

You have

  • Engineering or technical background (or equivalent experience) with a first experience of 2-3 years in procurement
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Knowledge in Excel is mandatory
  • Knowledge about SAP is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, both written and spoken

And you are

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate with various internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Coordination abilities to lead procurement activities while working closely with supplier development engineers
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Excellent reporting skills: capable of structuring, presenting, and communicating sourcing data and insights to top management.
