Mission

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building IBA’s next-generation customer portal and machine data platform.

Our platform collects and processes data from proton therapy centers across the globe, supporting operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Already used daily by 700+ professionals worldwide, it is a critical component of IBA’s ecosystem.

You will contribute to delivering a seamless digital experience that enables customers to access insights, services, and support in one unified platform.

Challenges we trust you with

As our Full Stack Software Engineer, you will: 

• Architect and implement microservices, ensuring high availability, scalability, and maintainability; 
• Build event-driven systems and messaging architectures; 
• Design, deploy and operate applications in cloud-native environments (CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes); 
• Maintain high standards of code quality through code reviews and best practices; 
• Ensure observability, reliability, and security of distributed systems in production environments; 
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture (testing, clean code, knowledge sharing); 
• Drive the technical feasibility and quality of UI/UX implementations; 

What we value

You have:  

• A master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in software engineering; 
• Strong backend development experience using Kotlin/Java (21+) with frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot. Experience with Python is a plus. 
• Experience building modern frontend applications (Angular 20+ or similar frameworks); 
• Hands-on experience designing and working with distributed systems (microservices, event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing); 
• Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes); 
• Experience working in cloud environments, preferably on Microsoft Azure; 
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and production operations; 
• Strong focus on code quality, testing, and maintainability;

And you also have:

• Ability to take ownership and drive features from design to production; 
• Experience using AI tools responsibly & efficiently in software development is a plus; 
• Good communication skills in English; 
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies (certifications are a plus);
