At IBA (Ion Beam Applications), we design advanced proton therapy and imaging systems that make a real impact on patients’ lives.
Within our R&D Clinical Department, we’re looking for a Software Engineer who’ll play a key role in our image guidance improvement program, integrating, validating, and maintaining new imaging algorithms into our therapy systems.
Challenges we trust you with
- Improve, integrate, and maintain a 3D image processing and reconstruction in our clinical software.
- Challenge, test and evaluate new algorithms from our research teams for robustness and clinical readiness.
- Optimize image protocols and perform quality validation in our x-ray imaging laboratory.
- Collaborate closely with development and validation teams for smooth knowledge transfer.
- Support clinical site validation and deployment (occasional travel).
- Contribute to the definition and evolution of product requirements.
What we value
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering (or related field).
- At least 5 years of experience with C++ and Python for image processing.
- Experience in software development within imaging or medical devices is an asset.
- Familiar with CUDA, OneAPI, Git, CI/CD, Conan, and Swig (a plus).
- Good understanding of X-ray imaging principles.
- Strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills in English.
