Context and role
To support its growing business and technology roadmap, IBA is looking for a Software Product Owner to ensure the robust and long-term design of the Product Control Software (PCS) architecture.
You’ll be part of the Industrial R&D team, where you'll collaborate with experts across engineering, product management and customer service. You will have end-to-end ownership of the PCS solution, from design and testing to final validation at customer sites.
This role combines technical leadership, product vision, and hands-on coordination in a high-impact industrial context.
Challenges we trust you with
- Own the full lifecycle of the PCS software: design, architecture, integration, testing, validation, and deployment
- Manage software development (resources vs tasks vs time) using Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
- Ensure quality and maintainability of software over time, including unit and integration testing
- Support the improvement of software development methodologies and collaborate with the product manager
- Translate high-level user requirements into specific technical requirements
- Support developers in their daily tasks
- Choose appropriate software development tools with the validation of the responsible process and tools and deploy development environments
- Train and support engineers in installing the component
What we value
- You are a Software or Automation Engineer or have equivalent experience
- You have ideally 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within an industrial environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Leadership and mentoring skills to guide and support junior developers
- Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing requirements and priorities
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality software delivery
- You are familiar with the Scrum framework
- You know how to use Jira and Confluence
- You have a basic knowledge of Siemens and/or Rockwell PLCs
- You are open to traveling on average 10% of your time
- You are B2-C1 in English and ideally fluent in French
