S&OE Manager
Louvain-la-Neuve, BE
Mission
As S&OE Manager, you lead a team of Production Planning Associates responsible for delivering a reliable and executable short-term production plan on a 0–3-month horizon. You are the functional authority of the S&OE team — setting the operating model, validating critical planning outputs and representing the function in cross-functional and senior forums. Beyond people management, you retain personal ownership of key planning processes, priority arbitration and escalation decisions, ensuring stable production flow and alignment with business objectives across the Planning Department.
Challenges we trust you with
• Lead, organize and develop the S&OE team: set priorities, clarify ownership, act as the first escalation point and support the professional growth of each associate through regular coaching and feedback.
• Define and continuously improve the team's operating model: meeting cadences, standard ways of working, PPDS planning rules and process documentation to ensure consistency across all associates.
• Personally validate the most complex or high-stakes weekly planning outputs generated by the team and intervene directly when cross-functional arbitration or structural SAP/PPDS resolution is required.
• Serve as the primary interface with Global Planning entities (S&OP, Master Scheduling, CPC, CSP), translating strategic priorities into clear and actionable guidance for the team.
• Maintain a consolidated view of capacity, material availability and operational risks across the 0–3 month horizon, and drive corrective actions with Procurement, Warehouse, QC and Manufacturing before production flow is impacted.
• Oversee the team's KPI and reporting framework, providing the Head of Planning and peer managers with a clear, accurate view of S&OE performance, risks and improvement levers.
• Drive continuous improvement across people, processes and tools: identify recurring instabilities, lead root cause resolution and champion automation, process simplification and planning discipline within the team.
• Be the key user for SAP S4/H production planning (PPDS and related modules)
