Mission

 

The Requirements & Test Engineer is a key member of the Research and Development group. The primary mission is to design and develop a world-leading solution for image-guided proton therapy and other medical diagnostic and sterilization applications using ionizing radiation. 
You will share responsibility for managing system requirements, ensuring safety, and verifying the Proteus 235 proton therapy product, with a particular focus on the positioning management system. In this role, you will ensure that all work complies with the stringent regulatory requirements for medical applications involving ionizing radiation, and you will be committed to delivering an effective product that offers the highest customer value.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Negotiate high level requirements with stakeholders, review and challenge the flow down of system requirements related to the product changes impacting the positioning management system.
  • Prepare and update system requirements according to expected behaviors and functionalities to implement at system level. 
  • Develop test strategies for system requirements and ensure accurate traceability between requirements and corresponding tests
  • Engage actively in functional and integration verification activities throughout the design and development phases.
  • Lead design verification engineering by defining test plans, test methods, conducting analyses, performing tests, and reviewing designs.
  • Contribute to verification activities related to compliance with IEC/ISO international standards.
  • Drive improvements in system engineering methods and tools by gathering, proposing, and implementing enhancements in collaboration with subject-matter experts.

Skills and Qualifications

 

You have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Software, or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in requirements engineering and system verification, ideally in the medical technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of complex system design, especially in medical or radiation-based devices.
  • Proficiency in English; French is a plus.

And you are

  • Able to understand complex problems, decompose them into simpler sub-problems and translate them onto functionalities 
  • Familiarity with tools like DOORS, Polarion, Helix, RQM, or Jira.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and systems-minded.
  • Collaborative, communicative and able to negotiate with different stakeholders in a sometimes stressful context
  • Experienced in interfacing with regulatory authorities, subcontractors, and external partners.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% for test activities.
