Requirements & Verification Positioning Engineer (Front-end interfaces and Software)

Mission

The Positioning R&V Engineer is part of the Innovation and Development group. The core mission is to design and develop the world leading solution for image guided Proton Therapy and other medical diagnostic and sterilization applications using ionizing radiations.
 
You will share responsibility of managing the system requirements, safety and verification of Proteus 235 proton therapy product, in particular the positioning management system. 
In this role, you will ensure that your work complies with the highly regulated environment of medical applications using ionizing radiations; and commit to deliver an effective product with the highest customer value.

Challenges we trust you with

•    Ensure requirement engineering activities (preparation, discussion, negotiation) with different stakeholders (clinical, service, SW architect) with focus on user interface and software
•    Participate in safety and reliability engineering activities throughout the design and development process
•    Participate in SW testing, being able to set up a SW test environment, to script and to review SW test scripts
•    Be able to understand, interpret, and challenge system requirements as well as ensure correct traceability to verification test cases 
•    Participate actively in informal verification and debugging activities throughout the design and development phase
•    Ensure design verification engineering by defining test plans, test methods, analyses, design reviews and performing tests

What we value

You have:
•    A degree in Biomedical Engineering or Computer Science (or related Engineering degree)
•    Interest for the design and development of complex medical equipment with focus on front-end user interfaces, usability and software in general
•    A first experience on test scripting / SW testing

•    Structured and rigorous with excellent documentation skills, even in a hectic context
•    Not afraid to challenge your peers, seeking for the best solutions

•    Able to interact with internal and external people, including Product Management representative, customer representative, third-party representatives and regulatory authorities
•    You are ready to travel up to 20 % of your time for testing activities

Cherry on the cake

A first experience using a Requirements / test management tool (DOORS; RQM, Polarion, Helix, …) or management tool used in SW development (Jira, …).
A first experience in medical device industry.
