R&D Test Facilities Manager

IBA is currently looking for a R&D Test facilities Manager for the operation and maintenance of the various laboratories/flexible project zones and equipment available to enable prototyping, testing and validation. This key position supporting innovation and improvement of our products is located in Louvain-la-Neuve.
As R&D Test facilities Manager, you ensure the day-to-day organization of all laboratory and test equipment whilst keeping a long-term vision and goal aligned with the ambition of building a welcoming environment to support technological explorations and support product development roadmaps.
Therefore:
- You operate and maintain existing laboratories (e.g. you act as contact point with building & facilities teams, EHS teams, you prepare and follow the laboratory budget, you collaborate closely with laboratory key users)
- You capture needs from the product roadmaps and research projects, maintain and adjust lab governance and staffing accordingly
- You develop Lab capabilities
- Prioritize and propose new capabilities in correlation to roadmap and research needs
- Seize opportunities to put them at the agenda (get sponsorship, prepare budget and project plan, defend them with support of others)
- Act as project manager to bring these new capabilities to reality
- You offer these services to all IBA business units (Proton Therapy, Industrial Solutions and Radiopharma Solutions)
- In this mission, you will manage and be supported by a lab technician.
What we value
Hard skills
• Master degree in science or engineering;
• Experience in budget preparation and project management (with tools like confluence, JIRA, SAP, PowerBI…);
• Awareness or sensitivity to EHS problematics;
• Knowledge in Medical and Electromechanical Systems is an important asset;
• First experience in working in radiation-controlled areas is welcome.
Soft skills
• You are able to organize your work autonomously and take initiatives;
• You are curious, you care for other’s needs and are willing to anticipate these;

• You have excellent communication skills in French. English is required as well.
