R&D Project Coordination Associate

Mission

 

We’re looking for a structured and proactive Project Coordination Associate to assist our Technologies R&D team in managing the operational, administrative, and financial aspects of R&D projects. You will play a key role in linking project management with financial and administrative processes in SAP and Jira. For the following aspects of your role, you will work in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Manager, the Lab and Test Area Manager, and the Explorations Project Managers.

Key responsibilities

 

Intellectual Property & Administrative Management (20%)

  • Support the administrative and financial management of the Intellectual Property portfolio.
  • Handle invoice tracking.
  • Encode Intellectual Property-related expenses in SAP and allocate costs across Business Units (BU).
  • Collaborate with finance and controlling teams to ensure correct cost allocation and follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support and coordinate one-to-one reviews to monitor spending.

Laboratories & Budget Management (40%)

  • Manage operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) expenses related to laboratories and technical equipment.
  • Handle purchase requests and investment approvals, ensuring correct encoding and amortization in SAP.
  • Use Jira for ticket tracking and translate requests into SAP for financial follow-up.
  • Verify data accuracy between SAP, purchasing, and finance teams.
  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure proper financial reporting and depreciation tracking.

Project Support & Operational Follow-up (40%)

  • Support Project Managers in the operationalization of the technology exploration portfolio.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between project, lab, and finance teams.
  • Help translate operational activities into SAP workflows for better visibility and tracking.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and facilitate day-to-day coordination within the team.
  • Manage material, subcontracting, and shipment requests.
  • Update resource capacity planning in collaboration with Talent Managers.

Skills and Qualifications

 

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • An understanding of budgeting and cost allocation within complex organizations.
  • Experience working with SAP and Jira (or similar ERP/project tools).
  • Fluent in French and English (written & spoken).
