R&D Automation Engineer

Key responsibilities
As an R&D Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of our medical equipment control systems.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and program automation solutions using Siemens STEP7, TIA Portal, BNR, following a V-cycle approach.
- Design and integrate SCADA systems (Wonderware Archestra, Wonderware InTouch).
- Conduct FAT/SAT testing and validation, both internally and on client sites.
- Lead a control module and ensure its software maintenance.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients.
Key challenges of the role
- Development & Programming: Creating and improving automation solutions.
- Validation & Testing: FAT/SAT cycles, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Support & Training: Assisting teams and clients with implemented solutions.
Your profile
- Degree in Automation, Industrial Computing, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation, including:
- PLC programming (Siemens STEP7, TIA Portal) and/or BNR
- SCADA development (Wonderware Archestra, InTouch)
- FAT/SAT testing and validation in a V-cycle approach
- Industrial communication protocols (Profibus-DP, PROFINET, ModbusTCP, OPC-UA) and Safety PLCs
- Knowledge of .Net, Python, SQL, Web development is a plus!
- Languages: English (B2) & French (C1) required
- Mobility: Occasional travel (10%), valid driver’s license (B) required
