Mission

IBA is a world leader in accelerator-based technology headquartered in Belgium.

 

To support our growing project portfolio in our business unit RadioPharma Solutions, we are seeking a Project Manager based in Louvain-la-Neuve to lead equipment delivery and installation projects in close collaboration with internal teams, customers, and external partners.

 

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for multiple simultaneous equipment delivery projects, ensuring smooth coordination from project launch through final delivery and customer acceptance. This position will be the central point of contact between customer representatives and various IBA teams, including engineering, supply chain, field service, product management, quality, and external partners. You will report directly to the Head of Project Management – Equipment Delivery.

 

You will be based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, and work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams at headquarters as well as with customers and partners across international project sites. The role requires strong coordination across departments and a proactive approach to stakeholder management.

 

Given the department’s circumstances, we are looking for someone who will be available to start the role between June and September 2026

Challenges we trust you with

  • End-to-End Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of equipment projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, field service, and quality teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Customer and Partner Interface: Act as the main point of contact for customers and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify project risks and operational constraints, implement mitigation plans, and escalate issues when needed to protect delivery commitments.
  • Financial and Schedule Oversight: Monitor budgets, milestones, and resource allocation, and provide regular visibility on project performance.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, and reporting within the Equipment Delivery organization.
  • Reporting and Governance: Provide structured and timely updates to internal stakeholders, including the Head of Project Management – Equipment Delivery, to support decision-making and governance.

What we value

 

You have:

  • A master’s degree in science or engineering, or an equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in project management in an international healthcare or industrial setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French, Spanish and/or German are strong assets.
  • Analytical, synthetic, and creative mindset.
  • Independent problem solver: capable of identifying technical or project related problems, summarizing the underlying issue and identifying potential solutions

  • Willing to travel internationally for short missions depending on project needs, up to 30% of the time.

Cherry on the cake

 

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and project management tools, knowledge of SAP.
  • Prior experience with cyclotrons.
  • PMI certification or equivalent.
