To strengthen our multidisciplinary engineering teams, we are looking for a Project Engineer passionate about complex hardware systems, innovation, and high-precision technologies.

Mission

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for hardware components and subsystems throughout their entire lifecycle—from specification and design to validation, industrialization, and long-term performance.

Challenges we trust you with

You will join a multidisciplinary team of 20+ engineers responsible for the transport and delivery of the proton beam, working at the heart of highly regulated, high-technology medical systems.

  • Collaborate with system owners and functional analysts to define clear and robust technical specifications
  • Analyze, calculate, and assess the feasibility of hardware solutions (technical, quality, cost, reliability)
  • Design, develop, test, and validate hardware systems and subsystems for new products or process improvements
  • Coordinate and follow up on developments with internal teams and external suppliers in an R&D context
  • Lead and actively contribute to technical design reviews and engineering meetings, alongside experts and project managers
  • Write test and validation procedures for devices and subsystems
  • Transfer engineering documentation for manufacturing, assembly, subcontracting, and process development
  • Ensure thorough technical documentation and traceability of hardware implementations
  • Apply and continuously improve hardware development methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot issues, propose design improvements, and enhance system performance and reliability
  • Support internal stakeholders and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering environment and tools

What we value

Required qualifications & experience

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electromechanics
  • 3–5 years of experience in an industrial or R&D environment
  • Proven experience in hardware development and product lifecycle management
  • Experience working with suppliers in an R&D context
  • Professional working proficiency in English (French is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel 10–20% internationally

Nice to have

  • Experience with accelerator technology, medical devices, or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with quality standards and compliance frameworks
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Able to propose practical, innovative engineering solutions
