Program Manager - Service Profitability & Continuous Product Improvement

Mission
As a Program Manager, you will lead the Service Profitability and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) programs, reporting to the Head of Program Management in Proton Therapy R&D.
The role is responsible for turning service and product improvement needs into a coherent portfolio of initiatives that maximizes customer value, operational performance, and business impact while ensuring alignment across Product Management, Service, Regulatory and R&D.
The first program, Service Profitability, is a strategic program aiming at adapting the way our Proton Therapy centers operate and improve reliability and stability of our system. The program takes place in a context of large growth of the installed base ; has large strategic impact directly impacting IBA’s P&L ; is monitored at executive level ; and is already on-going with multiple product developments within R&D and non-product projects coordinated with Service.
Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) is a new program responsible for capturing, evaluating and governing improvements to existing product on the installed base. The Program Manager will establish and operate the governance framework, perform value-based prioritization, ensure stakeholders alignment (service, product management, component managers etc.), facilitate stewardship principle in an Agile context and provide visibility on the overall improvement portfolio and its return on investment.
The Program Manager works closely with Product Management, other Program Managers and Chief Product Owner to ensure coherence at roadmap level. He partners as well with Component Managers and Product Owners for effective management of scope, priorities and dependencies across the different components of our system. The role provides transparency on progress, risks and value delivery, enabling informed decision-making at senior leadership including executive/C-level.
Challenges we trust you with
- Translate business objectives into a coherent portfolio of service profitability and product improvement initiatives.
- Drive governance, prioritization and arbitration across Product Management, Service, Regulatory, R&D and Operations.
- Manage interdependencies internally (across components, releases, regulatory submissions) and externally (sub-co, third parties, research partners, academics, hospitals etc.)
- Enable stewardship from Component Managers through visibility, governance and decision-making processes.
- Balance short-term operational needs with long-term product evolution objectives.
- Monitor program performance across scope, budget, schedule, risks and value delivery.
- Provide decision-ready insights and recommendations to governance bodies and senior leadership.
- Lead additional strategic programs over time, including initiatives focused on the development of new clinical features.
What we value
You have:
- Degree: Master's degree in Engineering. An additional degree in Business Engineering, Management or MBA is an asset.
- Program Management Experience: 5+ years of experience in Program or Project Management, including the coordination of complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and technical domains in a multidisciplinary and international environment. Experience in Agile framework is a plus.
- Certification: Project Management certification and in particular PMP by PMI (alternatively PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma or other may be valued).
- Regulated Environment Experience:
- Experience working in a regulated industry.
- Understanding of ISO 13485 is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in field of medical devices, radiotherapy or proton therapy is a plus.
- Business Acumen: Ability to assess business value, develop recommendations and support data-driven investment decisions (business cases).
- Project/Program Management Skills: Strong scope,Planning, stakeholder, procurement, budget and risks management skills.
- Digital Tools:
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira) and SAP is a plus.
- Communication:
- Professional communication skills in English.
- French is a strong asset.
- Ability to report clearly to senior/executive level.

Compensation package
The total guaranteed annual compensation range (which includes annual base salary, as well as flexible budget if applicable, and car budget in specific locations) for this position is provided below:
Total gross guaranteed annual compensation range: € [90.000 - 145.300]
The salary range indicated above is provided in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements and reflects the typical compensation scope for this position based on the role's level of responsibility, required expertise, and location. The actual offer will be determined on an individual basis, taking into account objective and gender-neutral factors including relevant professional experience, qualifications, specific competencies, and internal equity. The range does not constitute a guaranteed salary and is subject to adjustment based on the final assessment of the selected candidate's profile. The role might also qualify for additional compensation elements such as variable pay, profit sharing, and benefits which are not reflected in this range.
