Mission
As Product Manager, you will own the strategic vision and market positioning of IBA’s solutions for medical device sterilization. Acting as the voice of the customer and the market, you will identify emerging trends, understand customer needs, assess competitive dynamics, and define the long-term product strategy that positions IBA as a trusted partner for medical device manufacturers worldwide.
You will work at the intersection of market expertise, business strategy, and technology, translating market insights into a compelling product roadmap and ensuring our solutions continue to deliver differentiated value in a rapidly evolving sterilization landscape.
This role requires deep expertise in medical device sterilization and a strong understanding of competing technologies, including X-ray Irradiation, Electron beam Irradiation, Gamma Irradiation and Ethylene Oxide (EtO).
Challenges we trust you with
- Develop and drive the long-term product strategy for IBA’s Medical Device Sterilization segment, aligned with market opportunities and company objectives.
- Become the internal and external reference for medical device sterilization market knowledge, customer needs, and industry evolution.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, regulatory developments, and competitive positioning to identify growth opportunities and product differentiators.
- Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that enhances IBA’s competitive advantage in the sterilization market.
- Own and manage the complete product lifecycle, from market assessment and product strategy through launch, evolution, and phase-out.
- Prioritize product developments based on customer value, business impact, and strategic relevance.
- Work closely with Business Development, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Product Development teams to ensure product decisions support customer and market needs.
- Support strategic customer engagements and contribute to high-value business opportunities by providing deep market and application expertise.
- Develop compelling value propositions and positioning strategies that clearly articulate the benefits of IBA’s sterilization solutions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, market adoption, and product performance through relevant KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent IBA at industry conferences, trade shows, working groups, and professional associations related to medical device sterilization.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the sterilization ecosystem, including medical device manufacturers, contract sterilization providers, consultants, and industry experts.
- Contribute to the promotion and adoption of irradiation technologies within the medical device sector.
What we value
- Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Physics, Biotechnology, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management, Strategic Marketing, Business Development, or a similar role within the medical device sterilization industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in medical device sterilization processes and technologies.
- Strong understanding of the competitive sterilization landscape, including Gamma Irradiation, Ethylene Oxide (EtO), X-ray, and Electron Beam technologies.
- Proven ability to develop product strategies based on market insights and customer needs.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and transform them into successful product initiatives.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Outstanding analytical, strategic thinking, and prioritization capabilities.
