Mission
As Mechanical Manager, your mission is to lead, organize, and develop the mechanical design team to ensure the successful delivery of projects—on time, within budget, and in compliance with IBA’s high standards of quality and technical excellence. You will also act as a key technical reference, driving innovation and continuous improvement across our mechanical systems.

- Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of mechanical designers and draftsmen to ensure growth, motivation, and performance.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively according to project timelines and priorities.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (electronics, industrialization, quality, etc.) to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Technical Project Oversight
- Define and validate mechanical design specifications in collaboration with system owners and product managers.
- Oversee project progress, design reviews, and key deliverables to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Manage technical risks and proactively propose solutions that balance innovation and feasibility.
- Mechanical Expertise & Innovation
- Validate mechanical solutions and guide technical choices across complex system designs.
- Support the team with hands-on input on 3D modeling, simulations, and materials.
- Monitor industry trends and contribute to design innovation and technical differentiation.
- Continuous Improvement
- Track key performance metrics (quality, cost, lead time) and act on deviations.
- Optimize design processes and maximize the efficiency of CAD/PLM tools.
- Capture lessons learned from projects and formalize best practices for team-wide adoption.
What we value
You have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- At least 3 years in a people management or team leadership role.
- Advanced skills in CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical calculations and FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal.
