Location: Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium)
Homeworking: 2-3 days per week

At IBA, we use data and cloud technologies to revolutionize cancer care through proton therapy. Within our Clinical Digital team, you’ll lead the design of scalable data solutions that power smarter decisions in engineering, operations, product, and finance.
We’re looking for a hands-on Data Tech Lead: someone who can code, architect, and guide a team while collaborating across disciplines.
Your role: technical leadership and data architecture
As our Lead Data Engineer, you will:
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines
- Coach juniors data engineers and data scientists
- Drive excellence in data quality, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with data architects and tech leads across entities to support a long-term data vision
- Contribute to the evolution of our data lake and architecture
- Report directly to the Data Manager
Your profile
We’re looking for a technical expert with:

Proven experience in data engineering and data science

First experience as Technical Lead or Senior Data

Expertise in:

Python, Spark, SQL (DBT), Git

Azure (or equivalent cloud platform)

Databricks, Delta Lake, Dagster, Terraform

Docker, Kubernetes

Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps

Interest in data architecture and software design

Bonus: experience with streaming data / IoT

Language: English (C1 minimum); French is a plus
