International Payroll Officer

Mission

As an international Payroll & Benefits Officer you ensure the effective and efficient processing of payroll with the team in Belgium and internationally, meeting high quality standards.

 

More generally, you take an active role in the HR Shared Service function, contributing to the effective administration of the entire employee lifecycle, including also a focus on employee benefits, employee relations as well as specific projects around compensation & benefits in the countries where we operate.

 

You also maintain good working relationships with our internal and external partners abroad in order to contribute to ensuring HR compliance, tracking trends, identifying risks contributing to associated actions. 

Challenges we trust you with

 

  • Actively contribute to and oversee end-to-end payroll processing, mainly abroad (15+ countries). 

  • Participate in effective employee benefits administration and resolution of employee relations issues. 

  • Actively contribute to the effective and efficient organization and execution of administrative processes related to the employee lifecycle – onboarding, career management, exit, etc. 

  • Contribute to the improvement of the contract and time policy

  • Contribute to the HR compliance and trend watch.

  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we value


You have:

  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in a similar position (international payroll)

  • Experience of payroll and related processes, administrative requirements and best practice. 

  • Good understanding of employment and social law principles, as well as Social Security and income tax. 

  • A strong numbers orientation and ease to effectively report to and communicate with accounting and finance departments, as well as external partners (mainly payroll providers).

  • A great ability to seamlessly integrate an existing team, actively contributing, listening and questioning. 

  • Aptitude to take initiatives including others, actively share and acquire knowledge and know-how, managing ambiguity. 

 

The position is based in Belgium, Louvain-la-Neuve. 

And you also are:

  • Fluent in oral and written in English is a must. Professional level in French.
  • Easy going, able to build constructive contacts with internal and external actors
  • Meticulous, structured and resourceful
  • Able to cope under stress and to take initiative
  • Able to take decision and you are the owner of your scope
  • Able to use Excel. SAP is an asset.
