Industrialization Engineering Associate

Mission

As interface part of the Research and Development you will be in close relation with the Industrialization team to ease the engineering BOM to manufacturing BOM translation.  Your responsibility will be to customize the product definition (BOM) according to project needs and ensure the standardization/quality of material master data between engineering and material BOM.  You will also be in charge of the deployment of the BOMs into operational projects.
You will work in close relation with system experts, projects managers/project management office, Program managers and Industrialization team to ensure the proper project execution.

Challenges we trust you with

• Support the transfer from Engineering to Manufacturing

Work together with industrialization team to ensure proper understanding and the right translation of the engineering BOM to manufacturing BOM.  Ensure that business unit strategy and needs are taken into account during Manufacturing BOM creation ensuring the proper project execution. Ensure SLA for BOM validation to set up properly the project to launch purchasing process

• Manage the applicability

Analyze and optimize new design deployment (scrap/rework/exhaust) with technical expert, project manager and project coordination office. Maintain project BOMs in Team Center to reflect changes done

• Check and validate bill of materials

Generate in Team Center site specific project BOM with the support of Project Managers and technical experts within the SLA timeframe and according to standards

• Give support and advice to production, engineering, subcontractors 

Efficient support, customer satisfaction

• Set up the configurator in Team Center

Create and maintain the configuration tool to reflect the features available in the catalogue according to business line product strategy

• Coordinate the tasks within a category of activity; ensure the follow-up and SLA commitments

Equity of tasks allocation among the team, only one entry point

• Ensure a regular and complete reporting to the managers regarding the activity of task category

Report presented to each service meeting, abnormal overload systematically reported

• Leverage on knowledge of manufacturing best practices and support industrialization team choices

Advice related to manufacturing 

• Work on continuous improvement

Regular suggestions and implementation of improvements in order to decrease wastes by optimizing flow

What we value

You have:

• Bachelor’s or master degree in engineering or equivalent
• Orientation in industrial/electromechanical is preferable.
• Proven experience working in similar position is an asset
• Working experience with PLM and ERP (ideally Team Center and SAP) is an asset
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
