IT System Administrator

Mission
The Product Delivery Group is an international team inside the customer service organization that is managing, supporting, and executing the planning, verification, deployment and maintenance of the IBA IT infrastructure and medical software products.
Our mission is the software and IT infrastructure support for the IBA proton therapy installed base and installation projects. We care for the full life cycle of our IT and software installations including :
- Initial deployment and startup
- Upgrades and updates
- Software and IT configuration handling
- Troubleshooting and resolution of issues
- Monitoring and maintenance
- IT obsolescence remediation
As a System Administrator in our team, you're working in an international environment together with PT Sites, Service Support teams, Research and Development, Manufacturing and other internal teams. Discussions with external suppliers are also part of the job.
Key responsibilities
- Build, cable, and initially set up IT racks in factory (in Louvain-la-Neuve)
- Install, configure, maintain and provide remote support of production on Proton Therapy Sites
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with systems
- Apply operating system updates and configuration changes
- Install and configure new hardware and software
- Develop, deploy and maintain several system administration scripts at customer sites
- Produce and maintain procedures and documentation
Skills and Qualifications
You have
- Bachelor in Computer/IT Science or you have an equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of systems administration experience
- Good knowledge of Linux operating system
- Assets for the job:
- A good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and applications (switching, routing, firewalling)
- First experience in automation
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

- A team player with very good interpersonal skills
- Able to organize your work autonomously
- Flexible and ready to work during weekends (between 5-8 weekends per year)
