Mission
IBA is the worlwide leader in particule accelerator and proton therapy. We design, produces and markets innovative solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and other serious illnesses, and for industrial applications.
Within the Clinical team, the Health Economics & Outcome Research (HEOR) will have the responsibility to drive the health economics evidence strategy, manage the roadmap and associate collaborations for proton therapy and IBA proton therapy product globally.
He/She will play a key role in generating and communicating the scientific evidence that demonstrates the clinical and economic value of proton therapy.
This role is a standalone HEOR position with full ownership of activities; while there is currently no dedicated HEOR team, the role will work in close collaboration with cross-functional departments, including Market Access.
Challenges we trust you with
- Define the HEOR plan and strategy for IBA products and/or product changes in proton therapy
- Work cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders (clinical team, market access manager, product and regulatory departments) to identify HEOR evidence needs
- Ensure HEOR needs are integrated into the overall clinical evidence generation strategy and roadmap and proactively look for synergies between stakeholders
- Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and ensure a strong scientific presence in the practicing and academic communities
- Operationalize and manage HEOR projects according to roadmap
- Evaluate external research proposals and collaborate with clinical & market access to advice on how these research proposals fit into the overall clinical evidence generation strategy
What we value
- Strong expertise on health economics analyses, outcomes research and real world evidence (RWE) studies
- Experience in design and use of common health economic analyses.
- Understanding of health care policy; strategic understanding of the business and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Previous track record of building relationships with key opinion leaders in the medical field
- Experience in the medical device industry and preferably in the Radiation Oncology space
- Proficient in English both verbally and in writing

The position offers a high degree of flexibility regarding the work location. However, a few days per month of on-site presence are required.
