Mission
As a Financial Controller at IBA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting across all operating entities worldwide. You will drive robust financial processes, support compliance with international accounting standards, and act as a key liaison between accounting, consolidation, and business controlling teams to optimize financial performance and governance.
Challenges we trust you with
- Global Financial Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate CO (Controlling) closing and financial reporting for all operating entities, including the US, PRC, and other key regions.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of accurate monthly financial statements by reviewing the Income Statement for all subsidiaries.
- Quality Control: Review and challenge financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Lead monthly balance sheet reconciliation exercises to ensure all accounts are current and fully reconciled across entities.
- Process Optimization: Maintain and improve robust closing and reconciliation processes to reduce the closing cycle time and enhance efficiency.
- Technical Accounting Support: Research and address technical accounting issues (in close collaboration with the consolidation team), ensuring compliance and consistency across entities.
- Process Documentation: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and ensure consistency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the liaison between Accounting, Consolidation, and Business Controlling.
- People Management: Manage one person but most importantly influence and manage teams not directly reporting to you, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
What we value
You have:
- Professional Qualification: Degree in Accounting; qualification (CPA, ACCA, other) would be a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Thorough knowledge of SAP (CO & FI; any other module is a plus); advanced Excel & Power-BI skills.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in audit (or in a similar function), ideally in an international and/or R&D/project environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; French is a plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
