Mission

Senior Electronics EngineerIBA electronics team is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key member in the electronics development for different projects, focusing on digital, analog and RF design with experience on PCB design.
 

Challenges we trust you with

 

  • Create electronics requirements and specifications from system requirements
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, implement and validate electronics requirements
  • Work closely with the SW/FW team/experts and cross-functional teams to integrate the electronics with SoC (FPGA, processor, etc)
  • Design, develop, verify and maintain electronics design for medical and industrial applications, as specified
  • Participate in design reviews and create/maintain electronics documentation, as per internal IBA process
  • Follow design processes and provide the deliverables in time
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues and provide support to identify the root cause and apply corrections
  • Provide support to other team members in questions related to electronics 
  • Be a mentor to junior engineers, guide internships and knowledge sharing to help the team members to develop while working
  • Achieving quality through unit testing and design reviews

What we value

 

You have:

 

  • Masters degree in electronics/communications engineering (or equivalent knowledge proven by experience)
  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience in electronics development (expertise in high-speed digital, analogue, RF and PCB design)
  • Experience in electronics development tools: Kicad/Altium (or similar), also PCB design for high-speed multilayer PCBs
  • Experience creating specifications from user/system requirement
  • Experience with high-speed digital, analog and RF designs
  • Experience on simulations tools (Spice, SI and PI, EMC)
  • Experience on PCB design for high speed (DDR4, 10G Ethernet, 8/12 layers)
  • Experience with micro-controllers, processors and SoC (experience in FW and SW embedded is a plus)
  • Experience on design to meet EMC standards (experience in lab is a plus)
  • Experience/knowledge in functional safety (ex: DO178 or ISO26262)
  • Experience doing unit testing and integration of electronics design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset

And you also are:

 

  • Able to identify and document abnormalities, issues and resolve them in an efficient manner
  • Able to quickly understand how to use new technologies
  • Able to work with validation engineers to debug issues (e.g. with oscilloscope, power supplies, VNA ...)
  • Fluent in English (mandatory) and French (nice to have)
  • Willing to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary team (electronics, firmware and embedded software) with interaction with other teams (systems, mechanics, hardware, manufacturing, quality, etc)
  • Familiar with SoC architectures from AMD Xilinx and Intel Altera (FPGA, DSP, ARM processors).
