Business & Financial Controller

Mission

 

  • Responsible for the quality and follow up the US PT (Proton Therapy) sites financials and for providing support to the business on operational topics.
  • Provide guidance and decision-making tools to the management.
  • Ensure that best practices are defined and applied in financial processes

Challenges we trust you with

  • Define and follow up financial aspects of PT (Proton Therapy) department in cooperation with Site & Ops Management team
  • Review, control and validate Monthly, quarterly and year end Closing and prepare monthly financial reporting in timely manner
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations
  • Prepare all Financial Reporting requirements package
  • Analyze Projects and Service contracts actuals data versus budget and reforecast and prepare monthly business reporting in a timely manner
  • Deliver Financial KPIs for the PT Management team including quarterly budget/forecast actual variance analysis and recommendations for the PT department
  • Review on monthly basis scope/timing/costs/revenue of PT Sites
  • Proactively provide relevant business support to optimize profitability: working capital, product & project costing, gate process, business case, ROI, profitability analysis, cost savings opportunities, ad-hoc analysis
  • In coordination with Finance teams, apply and put in place recommendations made by internal audit (or financial auditors) to guarantee compliance with financial standards and corporate governance
  • Support budgeting and Forecasting process by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, summarizing information and trends, and propose actions to improve the PT budget and strategic plan process.
  • Develop finance knowledge across the PT business team
  • Support business for customer invoicing
  • Follow-up on cash forecast with Treasury department and monthly overdue report issuance
  • Support business for business case, Return on Investment calculation, cost savings opportunities
  • Support controllers to harmonize and run common analysis.
  • Support in any other areas where needed, to support business teams

What we value

You have:

· A Master degree in Finance or Economics or an equivalent financial background.

· 2- 5 years of relevant experience (in controlling, audit …), ideally in an industrial environment

· Knowledge in Project Management

· Knowledge of MS Office, curious about new technologies, digitalization, analytical tools

· Excellent communication across department and with the hierarchy

· Excellent communication skills both in English and in French

And you also are:

· A proactive, assertive and pragmatic person

· Curious, business oriented, digital minded and detail-oriented but able to see the big picture

· A strong communicator and able to convince and influence

· Autonomous with excellent analytical skills

· A flexible person, able to set priorities and to organize your work autonomously

· Critical, rigorous and consistent in all daily document control activities

· An open-minded and client-oriented person able to work in a team

· Open to travelling to the US for a week every 3-4 months

Cherry on the cake

· You have knowledge of SAP modules such as CO, FI and PS

· You have experience in an Industrial environment or in Project environment
