Business & Financial Controller

Mission
As a Business & Financial Controller for Proton therapy, you will act as a key financial point of contact for Proton Therapy Equipment project management teams. You will create transparency on financials, be responsible for the quality and follow up of Equipment results and act as a sparring partner to steer operational decision-making. You will also enforce the application of best practices in financial processes, and liaise with Accounting/Conso/tax to ensure accuracy and explainability of figures.
Challenges we trust you with
- Strategic planning & forecasting: Plan strategic planning activities in collaboration with the Equipment project leadership. Support forecasting cycles with the business.
- Monthly closing & reporting: Plan, Review, control and validate Monthly Closing. Report to the Management with variance analyses and recommendations.
- Business partnership: Prepare ad hoc analyses to support leaders to make decisions. Identify levers to optimize profitability, and continuously challenge business teams.
- Cash management: Ensure the cash in forecast is accurate and up to date for treasury department needs.
- Risk management: Ensure risks and opportunities are followed and analyzed (FX, documentary credit, bank guarantees, penalties, projects delays...) for projects and prospects (IFRS15 Compliance, non-standard payments terms, risks coverage).
- Digital savviness: Enable and support the adoption of our new SAP S/4HANA in line with Proton Therapy Equipment specific ways of working (e.g., one-single obligations, hyperinflation). Support and give recommendations on financial processes.
- Continuous improvement: Keep a critical mindset to :
- Put in place audit recommendations to guarantee compliance with financial standards and corporate governance, in coordination with Finance teams.
- Give recommendation to optimize financial processes.
What we value
- Master’s degree or an equivalent financial background
- At least 5 years of relevant experience (controlling, audit, …)
- Experience with MS Office
