As Building Coordinator, become part of a dynamic team of 10 professionals, collaborating to design and oversee the construction of cutting-edge facilities worldwide—state-of-the-art centers that will house IBA's revolutionary Proton Therapy solutions for advanced cancer treatment.

 


General Mission

 

As a Building Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to manage the design and construction activities to ensure building delivery aligns with planning, meets IBA's Interface Building Document (IBD) requirements, and facilitates seamless installation. 

You will also contribute to the creation and updates of Standard and Project IBDs, study and design facility layouts, and provide support to the Production and Operations departments.


Main Tasks and Responsibilities


Your key responsibilities include:


Support Internal Sales Excellence:

o Study feasibility and design prospect layouts based on customers’ needs.
o Update project factsheets.
o Provide technical support around IBD and building requirements.

 

Support Innovation & Development (ID):

o Challenge the Standard IBD based on returns on experience and best practices.
o Review and update the Standard IBD under the supervision of the Standard IBD Owner.

 

Follow-Up on Design Activities:

o Share, explain, and highlight crucial topics from IBA's Standard IBD.
o Limit deviations between designs and the Standard IBD, and propose alternatives where necessary.
o Review and validate project layouts, ensuring compliance with IBD requirements.
o Create and update Project IBDs based on standards and layouts.
o Validate design drawings to ensure proper implementation of requirements.

 

Follow-Up on Construction Activities:

o Review and challenge construction planning.
o Raise awareness of construction tolerances specific to medical equipment.
o Inspect construction sites regularly, identify deviations from approved designs, and monitor progress using the Building Follow-Up Tool (BFT).

What we value

 

Educational Background: Master’s degree in Civil/Industrial Engineering or Architecture.
Professional Experience: 3-5 years in design and construction review.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
Personal Traits:

o Proactive, hands-on, and driven.
o Strong organizational and communication skills.
o Comfortable leading initiatives and reporting progress.


Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken) to thrive in an international setting.
Willingness to Travel: Up to 30% of your time.
