Automation Project Engineer

Mission
Since March 2023, we have embarked on an ambitious project to internalize our process control system. This includes forming two new teams and overhauling the code for both Beagle Control and Beagle MES. Additionally, we are committed to supporting our installed base.
As the primary point of contact for customer service, you will inform and troubleshoot issues related to the installed base. You will also create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge database, working closely with subcontractors to gather as much information as possible. Building and sustaining strong relationships with all stakeholders will be key to ensuring the successful delivery of project goals.
Challenges we trust you with
- On-site coordination and information gathering:
- Visit sites and monitor subcontractors to gather detailed information about the PCS system internalization process.
- Knowledge database construction:
- Build and maintain a robust knowledge database to support future product needs.
- Development and testing environments setup:
- Create and manage development and testing environments to ensure thorough system testing and smooth deployment.
- Documentation procurement:
- Collaborate with subcontractors to obtain necessary documentation, ensuring comprehensive information recording.
- Customer support and ticket management:
- Serve as the primary contact for handling support tickets and requests from customers with installed systems.
- Troubleshooting and issue resolution:
- Troubleshoot and resolve common issues experienced by the installed customer base, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
What we value
- Proficiency in automation programming (Siemens, WinCC)
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases, including navigation and querying
- Experience using and managing Virtual Machines
- Knowledge of ESXi is a plus
- Understanding of IT network drawings and network configuration
- Resourcefulness and ease in making contact with people
- Rigorous approach to collecting and building a knowledge library
- Comfort in dealing with subcontractors
- Ability to operate within an international landscape
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Fluency in French and English
