Challenges we trust you with
As an Automation Engineer at IBA, you'll play a crucial role in our automation projects.
You'll collaborate with our talented team of architects to analyze projects, define hardware and software specifications, and develop innovative control systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing, programming, testing, and commissioning safety-related control systems
- Ensuring project documentation aligns with internal QMS procedures and guidelines
- Providing high-level technical support post-system start-up
What we value
To excel in this role, we're looking for candidates who bring:
- An engineering degree in Automation or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a specialization in automation/control systems
- A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience
- The ability to thrive in project teams under a structured Quality Management System
- Strong analytical skills for efficient technical problem-solving
- Proficiency in creating high-quality technical documentation
- A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting customer needs in mission-critical applications
- Fluency in French and a good command of English
- Willingness to travel internationally for short missions (approximately 20% of your time for short trips in Europe, EU, and Asia)
Technical Skills We Seek:
- PLC programming expertise, specifically Siemens S7-400 and S7-1500
- Siemens automation systems (PLC, automation solutions)
- Experience in programming Safety PLC (Siemens S7-1500 Safety) and safety systems
- Supervision/SCADA programming: Wonderware Intouch (Aveva) and Siemens WinCC
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: PROFIBUS, PROFINET, S7-comms, PROFISAFE
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Knowledge of Kepware is an asset
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite
