Mission
Responsible for operating and maintaining the Proton Therapy System equipment (PTS), troubleshooting equipment issues, performing routine preventative maintenance, conducting routine system inspections, updating, and communicating system status, supporting hardware and software testing, and involvement in all phases of PTS testing (integration testing, validation testing), and supporting the Site Engineers on duty and Site Technical Lead.

- Support daily clinical operations for the customer clinical staff as defined by the Site Manager and Site Technical Leader (STL) in accordance with site policies.
- Operate and maintain the Proton Therapy System (PTS) for various customer needs, which will include but not be limited to: Patient Treatment, Quality Assurance, Development, Research and Experimentation projects.
- Assist and support the Site Engineers in troubleshooting PTS equipment including physics, medical imaging, electrical, mechanical, and software problems.
- Perform operating routine maintenance of the PTS including but not limited to established preventative maintenance process, system upgrade guidelines, and corrective maintenance as necessary and following defined protocols.
- Perform daily system walk-thru and clearly communicate the status of the system to leadership as well as to IBA colleagues on site.
- Provide support to PTS Hardware and Software testing.
- Maintain adequate records as defined by the customer and Site Manager in accordance with company QA and FDA regulations.
- Support the PTS in all phases, which will include but not be limited to unit testing, integration testing, validation testing and other various site related activities as the Site Manager and STL defines them.
- Mentor and train less experienced operator technicians.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
What we value

- High school degree required, Associate degree, Apprenticeship, or Technical certification/license in an area of related competence; and/or
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in electronics, electrical system troubleshooting, electromechanical systems operations and maintenance
- Mechanical systems repair, maintenance, and operations of large systems a plus.

Monday through Friday; 2 pm - 10 pm Eastern
Compensation and Benefits
The approximate annual base salary range for this position is provided below. Within this range, individual compensation is influenced by various factors such as location, job-specific skills, work experience, and relevant education or training. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses, profit sharing, commissions, and benefits.
Approximate Range
$56,100 – 75,900 USD
