Service Engineer PMS (Hyderabad - Site 2)

Mission

IBA is hiring the installation team for Hyderabad’s second Proton Therapy (PT) Center. The PT center will be home to IBA Proteus One, featuring a compact one-room solution powered by a superconducting synchrocyclotron. The installation is expected to start between November 2026 and February 2027. It will be delivered within 12 months by an IBA team of 9 motivated individuals. The PMS (Patient Monitoring System) engineer’s first mission is expected to last ~18 months, including pre-assignment training and support for the site's transition to Operations.

As PMS Service Engineer, you are responsible for installation, calibration and commissioning activities on the Proton Therapy Centre, with a specific focus on the patient electromechanical equipment.

• Participating in the installation of the IBA equipment on the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on the electro-mechanical equipment (Gantry, X-Ray equipment, CBCT, patient positioner, etc.)
• Testing, calibrating and validating the equipment according to the specifications and ensuring the customer requirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance and timing
• Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical problems
• Collaborating intensively during installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of equipment
• Troubleshooting the equipment including solving electrical and mechanical issues
• Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services

What we value

You have:

• A Master degree in engineering (Electronics, Electro-mechanics or Mechanics)
• Relevant technical experience in electronics/electrical system troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair, and operations of large systems, as well as experience with different tools like cooling systems, vacuum systems, PLC´s regulation loops Programmable Logic Controller), drivers, sensors, electric motors positioning equipment, high and low voltage equipment
• The ability to troubleshoot large systems issues
• The ability to work autonomously on well-defined tasks 
• Knowledge of local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations

• Conscientious and organized, able to provide good quality reporting
• Able to follow rules & regulations and you able to deliver on strict deadlines
• Analytical, able to identify root cause of issues
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel extensively during the training period (+/- 4 months)
• A flexible person, willing to work in rotating shift work, night work and weekends (up to 50% of your time)

Compensation package

The total guaranteed annual compensation range (which includes annual base salary, as well as flexible budget if applicable, and car budget in specific locations) for this position is provided below:

Total gross guaranteed annual compensation range: 1.4 LPA - 2.4 LPA

The salary range indicated above is provided in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements and reflects the typical compensation scope for this position based on the role's level of responsibility, required expertise, and location. The actual offer will be determined on an individual basis, taking into account objective and gender-neutral factors including relevant professional experience, qualifications, specific competencies, and internal equity. The range does not constitute a guaranteed salary and is subject to adjustment based on the final assessment of the selected candidate's profile. The role might also qualify for additional compensation elements such as variable pay, profit sharing, and benefits which are not reflected in this range.
