Challenges we trust you with
Support the Payroll and Benefits Specialist by providing payroll, benefits, administrative and organizational assistance. Support the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and company benefits programs. Express ability in handling full-cycle payroll (tax deductions, garnishments), support the administration of health/welfare plans (enrollment, auditing), and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key skills include HRIS proficiency, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Communicate in verbal and written formats, using the highest level of professionalism, reassurance and competence.
· In-depth understanding of payroll and benefits.
· Collaborate in the processing of bi-weekly payroll, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and salary changes.
· Assist with preparing payroll reports, audit data, and the reconciliation of benefits billing.
· Strong mathematical skills for calculating deductions and taxes.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex payroll, benefits and tax matters under the supervision of our Payroll and Benefits Specialist.
· Assist with benefit enrollment, changes, and terminations for health, dental, and retirement plans.
· Ensure that work product is in compliance with FLSA, FMLA, and other state/federal regulations, including payroll tax reporting.
· Assist with the maintenance, updating, and auditing of employee records and HRIS payroll systems.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
· Assist with the processing of benefits related invoices and laise with our finance team.
· Maintain accuracy in processing payroll and envisioning its highly visible impact on Business Units.
· Address employee inquiries regarding paychecks and benefits under the supervision of the Payroll and Benefits Specialist.
· Super user accounting and payroll software experience
· Strong computer and online literacy, including confidence using MS Suite.
What we value
· Bachelor’s Degree Strongly desired with concentration in accounting preferred.
· Certification in accounting, payroll, taxation desired.
· 2-3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Payroll/Benefits
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· ADP Workforce portal knowledge a plus.
· HRIS systems e.g. HRMinds.
