Solution Offering Engineer

Mission
Your main mission is to lead and coordinate the Pre-engineering’s for all regions and all solutions, so that all prospects receive their offer on time, quality and scope.
To reach that objective, you will lead a cross-functional team from building/validating the requirements of the Prospect to the definition of the final offer, ready to be presented to the IBA management and to the Prospect.
You will be part of the Offer team, composed of the Product Managers and the Facility Engineer. You will also interact with the Sales and R&D (Research and Development) teams.
Challenges we trust you with
- To understand the requirements and technical specification of the Prospects, with the support of the Sales representative and the Product Managers
- To suggest appropriate solution from the product catalog to meet the Prospects’ expectations in cost-effective and timely manner
- If a customized solution is needed, to define the project plan with all the tasks needed to design and offer the most efficient solution
- To follow those tasks according to the proposed planning,
- To consolidate and present answers from the stakeholders in the organization, e.g., the Product Managers, the Sales, the R&D (Research and Development), the Legal and the Operational teams
- After the learning period, to be able to answer to a major part of the Prospects’ questions, and do the calculations based on the tools provided by the product managers,
- To organize weekly reviews with the prospects and the third-parties (e.g., conveyor manufacturers, integrators, etc.) to synchronize all tasks and report to the Prospect
- To build comprehensive documents with the support of Product Managers including, e.g., a solution proposition, a calculation note, a compliance matrix, a presentation of the solution, etc.
- To maintain and update the product catalog with the Product Managers
- To maintain records of the quotations and technical notes in the dedicated tools
- To build the costing with the support of the Offer and Deliver teams so that it can be priced by the Sales rep,
- To assist our sales and service staff in technical presentations to customers
- To work closely with the Sales and Product Management to maintain and update the tools and the catalog, so that offering is improving over time (e.g., Sales force, catalog tool, etc.)
What we value
You have:
- A Master’s degree in engineering or a commercial degree with an interest in technologies and industrial fields
- At least 1 year of experience in project or planning management;
- Good abilities to understand newly presented information and new technologies
And you also are:
- Very rigorous and organized
- A team player, able to create relationships at all levels, and to work autonomously according to priorities in a structured manner
- A customer-oriented person with excellent interpersonal communication skills including presentation of ideas;
- Fluent written & spoken English
- A proactive person willing to take initiatives
- Ready and flexible to travel if needed, up to 10% of the time
Cherry on the cake
- You have a previous experience is the sterilization or logistics industries
- You have a project management certification (e.g., PMBOK, Prince2, etc.)
- You have knowledge in French
- You have ideally 3 years of experience in engineering or project support or sales support in a relevant industry
