EHS Occupational Safety Expert (Process)

Mission
You will support the initiatives within EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Team that are critical for establishing and maintaining a strong infrastructure.
You will proactively drive and sustain a strong EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) culture throughout the Company by assisting in the development and implementation of effective EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Programs.
Challenges we trust you with
- Responsible for the development and distribution of routine EHS Key Performance Indicators
- Develop and manage EHS Legal Watch process
- Participate in the improvement, implementation and development of EHS tools and process improvement needs.
- Routine monitoring, evaluation (trend analysis) and prioritizing of EHS non-conformities
- Ensure integration of the EHS aspects in the existing processes
- Monitor and improve IBA processes and products to be compliant with EHS regulations or IBA specifications, by providing guidance for compliance. The approach is based on a risk and opportunities methodology
- Provide expertise and guidance to the Innovation and Development department (R&D) for EHS assessment and product compliance
- Contribute to audits and provide expertise to the audit process for the EHS aspects
- Project management in the area of EHS
What we value
You have:
- A Master/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience
- 7 to 10 years experience in EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) or related work experience involving the establishment & sustaining infrastructure programs
- Knowledge and experience of core EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) principles is a must
And you also are:
- Able to successfully communicate and establish working relationship within all levels of the organization
- An excellent communicator both orally and in writing
- A team player, able to negotiate and influence
- Able to create awareness and compliance environment
- Able to serve internal customer without foregoing compliance
- Fluent in English, French is an asset
You are also able to travel 20% of your time.
