Mission

The mission of the Radio and Particle Therapy Dosimetry team is to develop solutions to reduce the installation time of Radio and Particle Therapy centers and improve machines and patient plan verifications efficiency and accuracy. We are a small, passionate, and energetic team working with the latest technologies in an entrepreneurial spirit. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced R&D Team Supervisor to oversee a dynamic team of 6-8 developers specializing in C#, Java, Python, and Angular development within an agile environment. This role involves reporting to a Belgium manager and collaborating with other software teams based in Germany, Belgium and Canada. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, encourage cross-team collaboration, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:  

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of developers/testers working on diverse technologies (C#, Java, Python, Angular (Typescript/JavaScript).
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Act as a Scrum Master by identifying and addressing technical challenges and roadblocks that may impact on the team, project timelines, or quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deliver scalable and robust applications.
  • Support in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with Product Managers/Owners and other departments to define project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
  • Build strong relationships across teams to promote collaboration and innovation.

Profile

  • Master/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience and 3+ years of experience in technical leadership or team lead role.
  • Fluent in English language speaking and writing required. 
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns, clean code principles, and best practices.
  • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • A team player with very good interpersonal skills, ready to work in a complex and international environment. 
  • Fascinated by new technologies and always willing to learn. 
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel 5% to 10%.
  • Experience in the medical devices industry is a plus.
