Mission
Is responsible for leading Purchasing and Procurement activities in China
Will report to the Country Manager China, with a dotted line to the Head of Purchasing in Belgium
Challenges we trust you with
Define and execute the category Purchasing and Procurement strategy, goals and budget
Purchasing and Procurement strategies and related action plans are formalized, validated, communicated and followed by the team
Lead, coordinate, manage Purchasing and Procurement team activities (planning, resources,…)
The Purchasing and Procurement activities are implemented according to the strategy / performance and development management of the team is implemented and documented
Improve processes and policies linked to the Purchasing and Procurement team and activities
Validated and compliant processes and policies exist, are documented and are followed by the team
Participate to the definition and the improvement of the transversal processes and coordinate with the related departments
Transversal processes implemented, interfaces defined, efficient relationships with related departments
Analyze escalated issues and implement appropriate solutions
Escalated problems and implemented solutions are documented
Report and document global activities, improvement plans and undertaken actions with the required level of details and accuracy
Reporting and KPI are communicated, analyzed and action plans are proposed for decision making
Lead supplier selection up to final negotiation and contract closure
Selection process is respected; number of yearly signed contract is met
Follow up health of supplier (financial/ delivery / quality) and define clear actions in case of issues
KPI are set and monitored action plan is defined in case of issue.

- You have rich experience in technical purchasing including direct and indirect purchasing.
- Proven experience in purchasing and procurement stakeholder management in Industrial Sectors (Medical Devices, Automotive,...)
- Deep expertise and exposure to different purchasing and procurement disciplines
- Proven record of impacting strategic definition and initiatives for improvement purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills applicable for negotiating, clarifying, and collaborating
- Advanced leadership skills, with proven ability to influence at all levels and across business lines
- Fluency in English
