Our team is searching for a Field Service Engineer with skills and passion to install, maintain and repair IBA equipment worldwide. 

As a Flying Field Service Engineer - Accelerator, you play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients. You will participate in the installation and maintenance of the IBA systems, equipment and technical tools on the Proton Therapy sites worldwide and, more specifically,  to the accelerator.  

 You will become a specialist in the latest cancer treatment solutions and represent IBA with your “know-how” with knowledge of our state-of-the-art technology.

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Help deliver a final, reliable working product within defined timelines that matches quality, performance and customer satisfaction requirements.
  • Install equipment/systems according to the defined planning, procedure timelines and operating processes.
  • Debug and report bugs to the Development Team.
  • Responsible for testing equipment/systems according to the specifications.
  • Maintain equipment/systems according to the maintenance schedule, and repair equipment/systems taking all necessary actions to solve problems.
  • Assist with training less experienced colleagues to properly use safely equipment/systems
  • Document and report interventions and actions undertaken in CMMS, with the required level of details and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors Degree in electrical,  electro-mechanics or equivalent experience. 
  • Proven experience in root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to lead a large-scale system troubleshooting.
  • Must be proficient in English. 
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a professional, courteous manner. 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to travel frequently on short notice and work weekends.
  • Willing to work all shifts to include morning, afternoon and graveyard
  • Ability to climb ladders and tolerate heights up to 25 feet.

  • This is a remote position with frequent travel
  • Ability to travel both internationally and domestically on short notice.
  • Must live 1 to 2 hours from international airport. 
  • You will work in a hospital or care center facility.
  • A driven, proactive person is preferred.

· Good manual dexterity and ability to work with tools.
· Ability to lift >50 pounds repeatedly.
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
· Ability to hear and speak English clearly.
· Occupational exposure to radiation.
· Work with high voltage equipment and magnetic fields.
