System Test engineer

Mission
The System Test Engineer is a key member of the Research and Development group.
The primary mission is to design and develop a world-leading solution for image-guided proton therapy and other medical diagnostic and sterilization applications using ionizing radiation.
You will share responsibility for managing system requirements, ensuring safety, and verifying the proton therapy product, with a particular focus on the positioning management system. In this role, you will ensure that all work complies with the stringent regulatory requirements for medical applications involving ionizing radiation, and you will be committed to delivering an effective product that offers the highest customer value.
Challenges we trust you with
- Oversee test engineering activities for new projects and product modifications by defining test plans, test methods, performing analyses, conducting design reviews, and executing tests.
- Interpret and evaluate system requirements to ensure accurate traceability to verification test cases, and challenge requirements when necessary.
- Engage actively in verification and debugging activities throughout the design and development phases.
- Lead design verification engineering by defining test plans, test methods, conducting analyses, performing tests, and reviewing designs.
- Contribute to verification activities related to compliance with IEC/ISO international standards.
- Drive improvements in system engineering methods and tools by gathering, proposing, and implementing enhancements in collaboration with subject-matter experts.
What we value
You have:
- A degree in Science or Engineering, ideally with a multidisciplinary background or expertise in one of the following areas: Biomedical, Mechanical, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Control Systems.
- A keen interest in the design and development of complex medical equipment.
- At least 5 years of experience in requirements and verification activities related to complex system development, preferably within the medical device industry.
- Experience with requirements or test management tools (e.g., DOORS, RQM, Polarion, Helix) or software development management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Exposure to test scripting and automated test environment tool
- A full proficiency level in English. French is an asset.
